We have a problem, and it must be fixed quickly. We need a miracle. It is not only a problem with the individual Pastor. The problem is what we have allowed Pastors to become. They have become something they were never meant to be - idols, a privileged class, first among equals, someone above question, someone with veto power when they are on trial. -
You will recognise the name:
. If you have been reading for some time, you know that this man stood tall in the firing line, hearing victims abuse stories, and urging the Senior pastor to resign. As advocates, it's important we share our story. In doing so, healing comes not just for us, but also for those reading, especially the survivors of our High Control Community (HCC). In many ways, our stories are your stories too.
has begun speaking, no longer silenced. I honour this man—not with the false and ugly "culture of honour" we've been indoctrinated in. And, not because of his titles. No, I honour this man for his courage, incredible empathy for the broken, and sacrifice. I don't think anyone can truly grasp the immense loss that he and
have endured. As advocates, we carry a tremendous weight on our shoulders, a burden that is ours alone to bear. We understand this. We embrace God’s calling. Please read, please subscribe, and please encourage
It’s not over yet.
I am so glad that all the evidence and victims are being found. I know it’s only a view of you that have taken on all the pressure, hurt, and the emotional weight.
After reading everything the Willow Tree and your self have written it brings heaviness on my heart for all. If I can help in any way please let me know. I think of my own journey and I know now I should not have been made to feel the way Larry made me feel, I became a shell of myself for some time. Such an angry man, that had two sides, I could see though Him but couldn’t share with anyone.
Thanks for starting sharing. You have done an incredible service for the hurt and the unseen victims.
Thanks for sharing this, Willow Tree. I hope you're doing well this week, all things considered. -Thalia
